Leavitt says Democrats ‘fell right into’ Trump’s State of the Union ‘trap.’ “They fell right into it because they cannot help themselves. They truly stand on the side of the tens of millions of illegal aliens who they allowed to pour into our nation’s open borders under the Biden administration. They truly stand on the side of career criminals who have gone to jail not once, not twice, not three times, but 12 times in the case of [Iryna Zarutska] … whose neck was slit by a career criminal who was released back onto the streets of North Carolina by Democrat policies.” I couldn’t’ve said it better myself.

NATIONAL NOTES 27 FEBRUARY 2026

Democrats demanding ICE reforms lose airport escorts in shutdown they triggered. TSA implements emergency measures, including suspended congressional escorts and halted Global Entry processing. Hey Shit-for-brains Schumer! Don’t get pissed at DHS or anybody else. You and your wetback lovin’ Democrats caused this. This is the third time this year you arrogant woke progressive bastards’ve inconvenienced the American people and made government workers go without pay. I’ll tell you what SHOULD happen: Congress needs to pass a law that says senators and representatives haveta go without pay if Congress shuts down the government. Once THAT law’s in place, I’ll betcha the government’s never shut down again.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 27 FEBRUARY 2026

Petitioners seek to create Eugene Clean Energy Fund by taxing retailers. It’d be one thing if they wanted to use this money to plug some of the budget holes they’ve already got, but apparently, they think investing in the wildly expensive and woefully inefficient forms of green energy is the way to go. How about they use it to solve the inevitable pissin’ contests over who has responsibility for what, between them and Lane County? The City of Eugene loves to annex outlyin’ areas into its Urban Growth Boundary to reap the income from the resultant tax and associated permint fees, but when called to rectify a problem in one of those areas, they constantly engage in a finger-pointing contest with the county – and vice versa. And it’s not JUST businesses. Trust me. We live in one of those described areas, and I’ve got file folders full of correspondence from both entities, sayin’ it’s the other one’s problem.
