Randi Weingarten says quiet part out loud: Fears Ed Dept closure will boost school choice funds. You don’t say. No WONDER the teacher’s unions are up in arms. Of course, I’m being facetious – school choice is all about giving kids information they need in their educational experience, not exposure to the woke progressive K-12 indoctrination process. Learning commonsense values early in education is critical to forming thought and processes before attending a 4-year commie think tank.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS.1 11 MARCH 2025

Kotek, Wilson say they’re committed to increasing housing supply, cutting red tape. I’ve had enough of this shit. Democrats’ve had control of this state’s governor’s mansion and legislature for 18 years, yet we’re still drowin’ in bums, their tents, trash piles, stolen bikes and shoppin’ carts. Why in the HELL do you people keep electin’ Democrats? They’re not solvin’ a damned thing. All they do is promote an atmosphere of free money and handouts. There’s a difference between a logger that’s on disability ’cause his body’s suffered damage from numerous workplace accidents in the woods, and the welfare mom who gets $375 a month per kid, so she keeps crankin’ ’em out. What the hell do you think DOGE is all about? It’s not just the states givin’ out money, it’s about our federal tax dollars goin’ to those same states so THEY can give out more money.

OREGON OBSERVATIONS 11 MARCH 2025

Non-profit to serve 50 fewer Oregon families as diapers manufactured in China hit by tariffs. HELLOO! Why’s everybody gettin’ the ass over this tariff thing? If US companies hadn’t shipped their manufacturin’ centers overseas years ago, we wouldn’t be havin’ this conversation. There’s more to “Made in the USA” than the almighty dollar. If nothin’ else, you need to look at it like this: If all the stuff we buy from China and other offshore manufacturing centers were made here, we wouldn’t have the sprawling canvas condo developements and their associated piles of squalor to deal with, ’cause the vast majority of those people would have jobs workin’ for somebody somewhere. Like it or not, we’ve got a long line of politicians to thank (Democrats AND Republicans) for turnin’ China into the manufacturin’ juggernaut it is today.
