In Oregon (where vote-by-mail is the only option), it means they’ll have to push back the start date to allow enough time for all completed ballots to be returned and counted by the close of business on Election Day. So what’s the big deal? Election Day is Election Day. Not a week later, so people can see which way the votes are goin’ and mark their ballots accordingly before they send them in.
