Sticker Shock: I-5 bridge replacement, corridor project cost soars by billions of dollars. It’s a big bullet to bite, but they need to shit or get off the pot. 13 years ago, the estimated cost to replace it was $3.4 billion. Today, the total cost estimate (including changes to the I5 approaches on both sides) has risen to $14.4 billion. This is a typical “pay me now or pay me later” situation if I’ve ever seen one.

Do you think Democrats should vote to reopen the Department of Homeland Security?  92% said YES. Until Congress passes laws that say if they shut down the government, THEY won’t be gettin’ paid, this shit’ll go on long after I’m dead and gone.
