By definition, a business is an operation created to make money. Why are these Starbucks union members surprised? By unionizing and demanding higher wages, THEY’RE the ones that put the lock on the front door. It’s common sense. If the labor cost continues to skyrocket and you’re forced to pay your help more and more, the business has to charge $35 for a 10″ pizza and $20 for a Big Mac. The next thing you know, there’s a “Going out of Business” sign in the window, ’cause nobody’ll pay those kinds of prices unless they’ve got more money than sense. 4 2
