Initiative To Amend California’s Prop.47 Collects Enough Signatures To Land On November Ballot. For those who need reminding, Prop 47 was the VOTER-APPROVED measure that said it was okay to steal stuff under $950 in value. It was the accelerant for a tidal wave of shoplifting that decimated the state. This is definitely one to keep your eye on. If it doesn’t pass, it’ll prove that California’s officially a lost cause and needs to break off and float away.
