US Special Forces in Ukraine at embassy, official confirms, as Pentagon document leak probe heats up. Okay, folks. I don’t know what all the hubbub is about. This clandestine stuff’s been going on in the DOD for YEARS. The public doesn’t hear about it, and it’s probably better that way. They don’t wanna know how the sausage is made. Back in ’71, when I was stationed in Okinawa, I worked at an Army depot where we rebuilt war-damaged equipment and shipped it back to Vietnam. One day, a guy I worked with came over to my quarters, and brought his brother, who was Special Forces. He was PCSing out of Vietnam, and stopped by the island to see him. We were havin’ a few brewskis and sittin’ around shootin’ the shit. The talk eventually turned to politics and the president’s recent announcement that although we were bombing Vietcong forces in Laos, we had no ground troops there. My friend’s brother said, “That’s a loada shit – I was there.”
