Nevada was so proud of him that, after he died, they named an airport after him. What’d you expect from a Democratic governor and a legislature with a Democratic majority? Of course, this tale magnifies the shortsightedness of all donkey’s asses. After the 2016 election, when Republicans took over, McConnell got rid of the filibuster when confirming Supreme Court justices too, which allowed #45 to appoint three justices who wouldn’t have made it through the process if the filibuster was still in place.
