Need an example? Look no farther than Harry Reid, Nevada’s ex-senator. When he ran the senate under Obama, he got rid of the filibuster when confirming federal judgeships below the Supreme Court level, so he and Obama could get a bunch of lower-level federal judges approved. Nevada was so proud of him that, after he died, they named an airport after him. What’d you expect from a Democratic governor and a legislature with a Democratic majority? Of course, this tale magnifies the shortsightedness of all donkey’s asses. After the 2016 election, when Republicans took over, McConnell got rid of the filibuster when confirming Supreme Court justices too, which allowed #45 to appoint three justices who wouldn’t have made it through the process if the filibuster was still in place. Like I said – Democrats can’t see farther than the end of the nose on their face. 3
