Oregon homeless advocates worry about Trump’s plan to end homelessness: ‘More misery.’ Wait a minute. MORE MISERY? There’s a fair amount of bums living in canvas condos who WANNA be there – primarily ‘cause shelters and other outreach programs won’t let them live there if they’re doin’ drugs or booze. So tell me how puttin’ them in a bigger tent with access to medical and mental professionals is gonna be worse than what they signed up for when they first hit the streets. BTW, I’m not a complete idiot. I’m probably not the first person to develop the Transition Center idea. However, I AM wonderin’ how many of those people sent their detailed plans to #45 when he WAS #45, and voilà, he becomes #47, and he’s suggestin’ a plan I sent him over four years ago. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad he’s talkin’ about doin’ somethin’ to clean up our landscape, and I hope he’s successful against the touchy-feely crowd’s pushback, which is sure to come.
