Salem eyes wage tax (your city may be next). For the uninitiated, Salem can’t get a bond passed to pay for their police department, fire department, emergency and medical services, code enforcement, or bum and bumette handouts. Property taxes are maxed out, so they want to tax you if you’re unfortunate enough to work in Salem, home of the state capital, higher than average wages, and a town infested with Democrats.
