Fire Fee petition deadline passes in Eugene; county works to validate signatures. I’ll say this again. If it goes to a vote and fails (which I’m confident it will), all they have to do to fix the budget is cut out the money they spend on bums and wetbacks. That’ll take care of our bum AND wetback problem in one fell swoop. None of ‘em’ll hang around waitin’ for $11.5 million in handouts that aren’t comin’.
