He’s just like Oregon State Democrats that gave Measure 113 a standing ovation when it passed. Anything to break the backs of the minority party. He and the other Democrats in Congress would like nothing more than to take power away from the Legislative Branch and give it to Biden. But wait. What happens if Biden uses invokes this Amendment to get his way? Well, the most immediate effect will be the litany of lawsuits that’ll start flying, which will halt the process and effectively make his efforts to get something done by 1 June null and void. So, there we’ll sit – no pay for 23.7 million government employees, 75.6 million (2021 numbers) Social Security recipients, and 2.18 million (2020 numbers) military retirees. Also, remember: It’s no skin off his nose if the debt ceiling doesn’t get raised – Congress still gets paid. On top of all that, the US will fail to make interest payments on its incurred national and international debt. So, given the options, here’s an idea Democrats – suck it up, make welfare recipients show proof of work before they get a dime, make students repay their loans, put unspent Chinese virus money back in the bank, repeal the EV rebates, and let America drill for its own oil again.
