Near 20% of state gov’t vacant. WTF? Tell me again, why are Oregonians that make $125,000 or more paying one of the highest state income tax rates of any state in the union? Is it so the DMV could close multiple offices all summer long last year? If I had to guess, I’d say something’s wrong with the state government (as an employer), even though their pay scales are higher. Again, it begs the question, what am I paying state taxes for?
