Republican senators roll out DOGE budget proposals for Trump’s ‘big, beautiful bill.’ Disqualifying people earning more than $1 million per year, along with politicians who lose their jobs from obtaining any unemployment support. I certainly hope this gets some traction. Giving someone worth a million dollars or more, some of my tax dollars, because they lost their job, is insane, and precisely what DOGE is all about.

As long as the City of Eugene is content to continue payment for an incompetent contractor in the face of their apparent ineptitude, I vote for them to require the presence of EPD at the lane closure to hand out tickets to all the idiots that don’t seem to be able to follow multiple directional signs and readerboards requiring them to merge left. Instead of doing what they’re supposed to, these assholes drive past numerous signs telling them to get over until the last minute, which requires the people that obey the law and are equipped with even a moderate amount of common sense, to slow down and let the lawbreaker cut in line.
