Portland’s at it again. Check out these national headlines: “Portland families forced to sell their homes as concerns mount over homeless camps.”  This is what happens when woke progressives congregate. They eventually run the commonsensers out of town. It never ceases to amaze me that whole groups of people with the financial clout don’t band together and convince their bought-and-paid-for politicians that my Transition Centers are the way to go. Oh well. I guess Portlanders like to look at landscapes dotted with canvas condos and dodge around passed-out bums on their way to the multiplex to watch a movie.

Wait for it – Wait for it. And there it is – Biden throwing the opposition a bone. He pushes Congress into passing what amounts to an $800 billion-dollar gift-wrapped greenie package, then hidden between the lines, buried in the 750 pages of the bill, is a minor shoutout to the oil sector. That’s like making the taxpayer buy a $800 billion car they don’t want or need and telling them he’ll throw in a free oil change.

It would appear that Mexico’s being run by the cartels – no wonder people are trying to leave. I mean, think about what’s going on down there. To draw a comparison, it would be as if Al Capone was using the Oval Office as his rec room. Rampant corruption at all levels of a government that consistently kisses the cartel’s ass, is 90% of their problem. What they need is an incorruptible president and staff that’s not afraid to buy a few drones from the CIA and use them.

Really? Nobody at the DOJ or FBI was smart enough to figure this one out? How much are we paying these guys anyway? Let me ask you this. When they’re out to hire a new AG or FBI Director, do they go out and TRY to find candidates that don’t have a lick of common sense? You’d swear these idiots’ve been living under a rock based on how surprised their press release sounded. They sat on the document case for a year, and then three months before the midterm elections, they raided the personal residence of the Democrat’s arch enemy. That was about as smart as standing right behind the rear gates of a squeeze chute as you pull the lever, then wonder why the heifer being restrained kicked you in the gut. I don’t know one commonsenser that’d be surprised by the outbreak of another civil war, and this one’d be caused by the Democrats, just like the last one was, 157 years ago.

This one begs the question – if it was a KNOWN squatter house and drug den, why weren’t the bums cleared out of there before they burnt the place down? I mean, come on. That’s like the cops KNOWING where the bank robbers are holed up, but not doing anything about it until they decide to kill somebody. I thought it was the job of law enforcement to stop crime, not monitor its progress. Now let’s explore the reasons why. Thanks to the woke progressive crowd, there isn’t a law enforcement agency out there that hasn’t felt the effects of the defund police movement to some extent. As a direct result, they end up prioritizing their responses. People in danger of bodily harm or death are going to take priority over bum-control any day. And it’s not just law enforcement. See for yourself. Suppose you observe an illegal bum encampment and report it to the agency in charge of road and right-of-way maintenance in your city, county or state. Five or ten years ago, it’d be cleaned up within a couple of days. Now all you’ll get from ANY agency is a canned email that talks about having to prioritize those enforcement and cleanup actions due to manpower constraints. Those types of responses were common during the masked-up days of the Chinese virus, and they haven’t improved since. So, as usual, we can blame this one on woke progressive Democrats, along with everything else that’s making this country fall apart.

Is anybody surprised by this one? It turns out DiCaprio is the George Soros of the climate crusaders, funneling grant cash to a dark money group that files lawsuits against oil companies. I wonder what it’s like to be an arrogant sanctimonious Hollywooder, looking down their nose at all the little people while their green agenda has them tilting at any perceived climate threat windmill they can find? As I’ve said in this column more than once – such activities help the woke progressives sleep at night. This is the same reason a growing number of our cities are overrun with bums and bumettes because these bleeding hearts throw money at them as they drive by in their limo en route to their gated, exclusive fortress. They’ll never advocate for Transition Centers that’ll get those bums off the street and return them as useful contributors to society. To do so would rob them of their sense of satisfaction when they have their driver throw a couple of bucks out the window, as they cruise by the guy holding up his dog-eared cardboard sign.
