Springfield defeats South Eugene 51-0 in Eugene. Regular readers know this is an outlier, as I don’t think I’ve EVER posted on an athletic event, unless the subject matter involved a political statement or decision. In this case however, the headlines jumped off the screen – 51-0! That’s a footrace, not a football game, and it was done on the losing team’s turf. Maybe the losing school needs to spend more time on how to play the game of football instead of what pronouns the players are allowed to use to address their teammates.

Renovations begin at Washington Jefferson Park in Eugene. But how will the City prevent people from moving back in and camping at Washington Jefferson Park after somebody’s tax money spent almost a million dollars to repair the damages caused by bums and their canvas condos? “There’s no law in the book that allows you to go scoop somebody up and take them away permanently for something like trying to put a tent down on public property.” So, THAT means that the bums’ll move back in, and the cops will slap them with a notice to be gone in 72 hours. After a frequent rinse and repeat of that cycle, before too long, the grass is ruined and topsoil contaminated again, with discarded needles and bottle caps. And then, the City’ll spend somebody’s tax money all over again.

Homeless man refuses to move from woman’s porch in Los Angeles. WTF?!? I just had to squeeze this one in when I saw it. From my observations, most of California’s woke progressive politicians are centered around SF and LA. This story is a case in point. A bum has made a habit of sleeping uninvited on this woman’s porch. She’s reported it to the police, told them that she doesn’t know the guy, lives alone and is in fear for her safety. They’ve responded in a ho-hum fashion. The guy still returns to sleep on her porch and hasn’t been hauled away. It’s obvious there is plenty of blame to go around here. The police enforce the laws woke politicians pass, and in California – ESPECIALLY LA City and County, there’s a lot of them. But it doesn’t stop there. The voters put those idiots in office, giving them a license to pass dumb laws and set dumb restrictions. I’ll keep an eye on this one, and if it takes a turn for the worse, I’ll be all over it like ants on a sugar cube.

FBI Conducts Dawn Raid on Home of Catholic Pro-Life Speaker. Did ANY of you think you’d see the day when the FBI acted more like the Gestapo than this country’s preeminent law enforcement agency? Thanks to woke leadership on the seventh floor of its HQ building, that’s what it’s come to. The congressional January 6th committee and subsequent FBI incarceration of participants was just the beginning. The only thing that’ll restore a uniform justice system in this country is for the Republicans to regain majorities in both houses of Congress and initiate hearings into the FBI’s conduct and politicization.

North Dakota official says, ‘no evidence supports suspect’s claim teen was Republican ‘extremist.’ Let me tell you what’s REALLY going on here. The dead high school kid wasn’t a conservative extremist. The asshole that ran him down and killed him was a drunk Democrat. The MS media barely covered the story, and I’d be surprised if he’s given any kind of sentence that’s even close to being commensurate with the crime of murder. DOJ, White House silent on status of lawsuit against Georgia’s ‘Jim Crow’ voting law as midterms loom. When the DOJ filed this lawsuit, how many of you spotted it as an obvious Biden-initiated, politically motivated good ol’ boy move? I did and told you about it (29 Mar 21 NN). Now, it’s turning out to be one of those “the DOJ doesn’t have a leg to stand on” deals. When it passed the law, all Georgia did was apply common sense rules to the voting procedure. For Christ’s sake – the Idiot in Chief’s home state of Delaware has more restrictions (WAPO gave Biden 4 Pinocchios for his statement railing against Georgia’s law). Discussions took place with a proposal to rename Lane County. All right. Enough is enough. Most of you have enough common sense to recognize the causation, but for those who haven’t figured out the problem with Lane County, let me enlighten you. The problem isn’t a lack of common sense in the populace, it’s a numbers thing. As it is with any societal strata, the U of O and its spin-off organizations, businesses and associated political positions, attracts people with a liberal orientation towards life in general, and there’s more of them in their voting bloc than any other group. Allow me to regale you with an example. Being a native Oregonian, I was well aware of Eugene’s reputation for trending towards the left-hand lug nut side. While working at a dealership in Washington, I was taking part in a discussion with an equipment manufacturer’s rep about Eugene, when he made the statement: “Ah, Eugene. On one side of the street, you have your hippies, and on the other side of the street, you have your loggers.” And therein lies the crux of the problem. The overwhelming numbers of woke progressive voters, have nothing better to do than sit around and think progressive thoughts, relegating the accomplishments of the historical figures, whose sacrifice, perseverance, and dedication made it possible for previous generations to establish the community they currently live in, to the trash heap of the forgotten past. You may’ve noticed that this is a growing trend everywhere there’s an accumulation of these wokesters, where they rush to destroy the likes of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, or whoever else doesn’t fit their agenda. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Roaming serial car smasher let go without arrest. Do you need a reason to tell you what’s wrong with the Democrats’ rat nest called Portland? Read on. They capture a bicyclist who’s been riding around town, throwing large rocks at moving vehicles, smashing in their windshields, but don’t arrest him. He’s probably one of those tree-hugger earthfirsters that’s mad at cars, so if you’ve always had a hankering to get your windshield smashed in while you’re driving down the street, take a drive to Portland.
