Merkley postpones Eastern Oregon town halls. Gee, I wonder why? Could it be he thought he’d be unpopular in the most commonsense part of the state after he’d voted to keep DHS shut down for 45 days? For the uninitiated, the Eastern Oregon counties listed have more cattle than voters, and the vast majority are endowed with a higher-than-average amount of common sense.
