Eugene proposes new restrictions for dog owners in city parks. A quote from the article: “A huge complaint within the housed community is they don’t like the homeless because there’s too much trash. Well, if they can’t put their dog on their bike or their trailers or anything like that, they can’t clean up their trash because they’ve got to have their dog’s leash in their hand. That seems kind of silly and ridiculous to me.” Here’s an idea: Instead of this person’s misguided notion that the homeless clean up their trash, why doesn’t Eugene, and the rest of the state, use some common sense, and just get rid of the bums? Hundreds of billions in over-budget federal projects exposed, as Senate DOGE tries to claw money back. Rep Ilhan Omar claimed one Minnesota project was crucial for recovery from George Floyd’s death. ‘Going a billion dollars over budget isn’t a rounding error, it’s a financial train wreck.’ Don’t look now, but the vast majority, if not all, of these projects have Democrat written all over ’em.

What does President Trump’s Homelessness Executive Order mean for Oregon? The studies this article quotes essentially mirror the findings I used when writing my Transition Center paper. The only noticeable difference between #45/47’s plan and mine is his absence of a skill training component, but if it gets bums off the streets and outta people’s faces while cleanin’ up their squalor, it’s a win-win.
